Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my car's L/100km?

Divide liters used by kilometers driven, then multiply by 100. Our fuel cost calculator shows the liters for any trip — divide by the distance for your own figure.

What is a good fuel economy?

Roughly 6–8 L/100km for an efficient petrol car, 4–6 for a hybrid, and 15–25 kWh/100km for an EV. Highway driving at steady speed is usually the most economical.

Can I split the cost between passengers?

Yes — split the total fuel cost by the number of passengers. Enter the full trip distance once, then divide the cost shown by however many people are sharing.
