How Calculator stays free

Calculator is free to use — no sign-ups, no paywalls, no selling your data (we collect none). To keep it that way, some pages may contain affiliate links: links to third-party products or services where we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase or sign up.

What this means for you

• It costs you nothing extra. Prices are the same whether you use our link or go directly — the commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your pocket.
• It never affects our calculators. Every calculator runs the same math regardless of any commercial relationship. Formulas are shown openly so you can verify everything yourself.
• It never buys a recommendation. Guides are written to be genuinely useful first. We do not rank, recommend or review products based on commission rates, and sponsored placements — if we ever accept any — will be clearly labeled.

Our editorial promise

If a guide ever recommends a specific product or service, it is because we believe it is genuinely useful for the task at hand — not because it pays the best commission. If we cannot recommend something honestly, we will not recommend it at all. Trust is the entire business model: a calculator site that fudges numbers for money is worthless, and we intend to stay valuable.
