Wallpaper Rolls Calculator
Whole wallpaper rolls for any wall.
Enter your wall's length and height plus your wallpaper roll's width and length to see how many whole rolls to buy. The calculator works out how many strips fit across the wall and how many strips each roll yields, then rounds up. Pattern matching needs extra — buy one spare roll for patterned designs.
How it's calculated
Strips = ceil(wall length ÷ roll width); strips per roll = floor(roll length ÷ wall height); rolls = ceil(strips ÷ strips per roll).
Frequently asked questions
How many wallpaper strips do I need?
Divide the wall length by the roll width and round up. A 4 m wall with a 0.53 m roll needs 8 strips — the calculator handles this for you.
How many strips does one roll give?
Divide the roll length by your wall height and round down. A 10 m roll on a 2.5 m wall gives exactly 4 strips per roll.
Do I need extra rolls for patterned wallpaper?
Yes — buy one extra roll for patterned wallpaper. Aligning the pattern between strips wastes paper, and you want spare rolls from the same dye batch.
